EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP CONFERENCE
Centre for Qualitative Research in Finance University of Dundee 7th October 2015 The Centre for Qualitative Research in Finance (CQRF) at the University of Dundee is hosting a one-day event on the topic of “Employee Ownership in the new Financial Environment” at the West Park Conference Centre in Dundee on 7th October 2015. Papers are invited in the broad area of employee-ownership, but work in related areas of non-traditional / disruptive financing such as customer and donation/reward crowdfunding are also welcome. Two leading experts in the field (Alistair Gibb, Specialist Adviser on Employee Ownership at Co-operative Development Scotland; and Dr Dermot McCarthy, Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Bournemouth) will be contributing to the plenary sessions. SCHEDULE Deadline for submission of papers: 30th September 2015 Deadline for registration: 30th September 2015 CONFERENCE FEE RATES There is no fee for attendees or presenters. Please indicate on the registration form whether you would like dinner in Dundee on the evening of 7th October (£20 supplement). Taxis are available at the airport, and car hire may be pre-arranged. There is ample parking available at West Park Conference Centre, including disabled bays. International airports at Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Prestwick can be reached by road in 1-2 hours. By rail Dundee is on the main East Coast route with direct services to Newcastle, York and London, and to Carlisle, Preston, Coventry, Birmingham, Oxford, Bristol, Reading, Southampton, Bournemouth and Plymouth. Overnight sleeper services run from London, the south coast and the West Country. Rail journeys to the other major cities in Scotland (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow) take approximately 1¼ hours, and the regular service from London King's Cross takes only six hours. The railway station is a short taxi ride from West Park Conference Centre, or a 30-minute walk. Train times can be found from First Scotrail, National Rail Enquiries, or by phoning the National Rail Enquiries Centre on 08457 484950.
