Special Issue on Foundations of Reuse
http://www.som.buffalo.edu/isinterface/ISFrontiers/forthcoming1/CFP%20Foundations%20of%20Reuse..pdf Information Systems Frontiers (ISF) - Springer ------------------------------------------------------------ Contemporary software development is facing new challenges due to mobility and IT ubiquity. Innovative approaches, based on reuse, are needed to avoid the redesign and implementation of software solutions. They call for reusable information through reusable components, patterns, designs, tests, etc. They play a pivotal role in the capture, representation, maintenance, integration, validation, and extrapolation of information; and, apply both information and knowledge for enhancing decision-making in various application domains. Special attention is given to non-functional properties, such as performance or security, involving intensive reuse. Formal methods are needed to provide a foundation upon which reuse and integration may be built. The special issue on Foundations of Reuse calls for scientific contributions as well as those detailing practical and/or industrial experience in one or more of the following areas: * Reuse in dimensionality reduction * Reuse in domain transference and heuristic problem solving * Reuse in knowledge discovery * Reusable component-based software * Reuse in VLSI hardware design * Reuse in Systems of Systems * Reuse in cyber security * Theory of information reuse and integration ----------------------- Important Dates ----------------------- Submission deadline: 31 December 2015 Author notification: 28 February 2016 Revised paper due: 31 March 2016 Final notification: 01 May 2016 Final paper due: 15 May 2016 ----------------------------------- Submission Instructions ----------------------------------- Manuscripts must be submitted to the ISF- Springer online submission system at: http://www.editorialmanager.com/isfi/.
