Call For Papers

Smart Homes Infrastructures and Interactions

at IEEE WETICE 2009

June 30th, 2009

University of Groningen, The Netherlands

Embedded systems are specialized computers used in larger systems or machines to control equipments such as automobiles, home appliances, communication, control and office machines. Such pervasivity is particularly evident in immersive realities, i.e., scenarios in which invisible embedded systems need to continuously interact with human users, in order to provide continuous sensed information and to react to service requests from the users themselves. The Smart Homes Infrastructures and Interactions workshop will attract papers that investigate any of the following topics:

1.

•middleware platforms for smart homes
2.

•service based home infrastructures
3.

•smart embedded services
4.

•self-configuring home solutions
5.

•home mediated collaboration
6.

•teleworking
7.

•assistive living
8.

•support to patient-caregiver interaction
9.

•immersive and person centric environments
10.

•human interaction with smart homes
11.

•brain computer interfaces for home interaction
12.

•acceptability studies
13.

•standardization
