About the Workshop
The Department of Mathematics of School of Science and Technology (SST), Nazarbayev University (NU), will be the host of third International Workshop “Algebra across the borders”.

The first workshop was organized at Yeshiva University in New York, in 2011, and the second at the Bolayi Institute of University of Szeged, Hungary, in 2012. The related Dagstuhl Seminar N14201 took place in 2014, in Germany.

The workshop continues to be the venue where we are looking for various emerging cross-border topics and applications of algebra in computer science, artificial intelligence, geometry, economics and elsewhere.

Time and Venues
The workshop will have two parts and will start on September 8-10, 2015 (Tuesday & Thursday), in Nazarbayev University, in Astana. Then we relocate to the Almaty region, for September 11-13, 2015 (Friday – Sunday), for the second half of our program, consisting of additional lectures, mutual research collaboration, and opportunities for hiking in the mountains. Participants may choose to take part only in one half of this program.

As June 22, 2015, about 20 scientists from Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Japan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, USA have expressed their interest to participate and present their research at the workshop. But we are still keep the door open to those who would like to attend the workshop or give a short talk. All requests should be sent to; decision on participation will be on base of space availability.

There will be no fee for the participation in the workshop. We are planning to publish the abstracts of the talks on the web-site of Nazarbayev University.
