VI International Conference on VIRTUAL CAMPUSES
Barcelona, 01-02 October 2015 CosmoCaixa Today, higher education institutions develop their teaching supported in Virtual Campus. While there has been great progress in incorporating technology in university teaching, there are still challenges ahead. Teachers models of universities traditionally face walk to mixed modes (blended learning), this requires considerable insight and institutional support for its strong strategic and organizational. In addition, the internationalization of education opens up new challenges and paths to networking, virtual mobility, shared work space, virtual remote laboratories, among other educational possibilities. Moreover, e-learning systems have experienced steady growth, where the web architectures are increasingly complex and must be integrated into corporate management systems and consider other aspects of the integration of devices and mobile technology, cloud computing, simulators, etc. These conferences sixths are the continuation of the first held in Latin America (Panama), after four previous editions in Spain (Tenerife'09 and Granada'10, Oviedo'11 and Palma de Mallorca'12). From this moment will continue celebrating a year in Spain and one in Latin America, to facilitate assistance to colleagues on both continents. Topics: This VI Conference will be organized by the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), where he also highlighted the importance of evaluation systems, focusing on the LEARNING ANALYTICS ASSESSMENT as a strategic of interagency collaboration and Latin America. This new edition maintains the goals outlined in the previous conference, in order to collect and consolidate the community working in and for the Virtual Campus, and issues related to them, to present, compare and discuss experiences, processes, systems, methodologies, techniques, strategies, management, quality, innovation, training, learned lessons, etc. Areas: -Educational Innovation: No doubt the close relationship that may exist between teaching innovation and use of technology resources. The virtual campus means available to the teachers do nothing but amplify the possibilities to carry out effectively, its educational concerns. This category can be sent works that reflect innovative teaching experiences mediated by the use of ICT. -Technological Developments: Daily witnessing new technological proposals for facilitating and enhancing the work of both technical services for the task of organization and management, as teachers in their educational practice. The idea of this topic is to accommodate those contributions carrying innovations from the technological point of view, both as regards the development of modules on platforms tele-education, and the creation of new tools or utilities that help improve the tasks of the professionals involved. - Teacher Training: Much of virtual campus services whose functions include teacher training. This is a task that becomes a key factor for teachers to achieve an appropriate level of competence to be fluent necessary means to enable them to carry out their work satisfactorily. Fit, then, contributions related to training strategies, methodologies, experiences, innovative training, etc. -Organizational Aspects: The diversity in the composition and structure of services that support virtual campus is a fact. And it is this variety that makes interesting organizational experiences that take place in them. This category is intended to group those papers that describe organizational experiences of proven or experimental efficiency, which can be considered unique and can be useful to share with other participants.
