CALL FOR PAPERS
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Call for Papers: 6th Int. Workshop on Human Behavior Understanding (HBU'2015)
to be held in conjunction with UBICOMP'15,
7 or 8 September 2015, Osaka, Japan

"Focus Theme: Behavior Analysis for the Elderly"

http://www.cmpe.boun.edu.tr/hbu/2015/
--------------------------------------------------------------------

SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Sixth International Workshop on Human Behavior Understanding,
organized as a satellite to UBICOMP'15 will gather researchers dealing
with the problem of modeling human behavior under its multiple facets
(display of complex social and relational behaviors, recognition of
individual or joint actions, personalization, etc.), with the focus
topic of "behavior analysis for the elderly".

While different aspects of mobile platforms and ubiquitous computing
are tackled in several venues, this workshop will solicit human
behavior analysis solutions that clearly advance the field, and chart
the future of behavior-sensing for elderly, which brings its own
issues and challenges.

Concrete examples for admissible topics are:
-Applications for cognitive and physical health
-Ambient assisted living applications
-Smart personal assistants
-Mobile social networks for elderly
-User mobility modeling
-Behavioral grouping
-Participatory sensing
-Reality mining on phones
-Behavior analysis for emergency and disaster management
-Behavior sensing and personalization of mobile devices
-Context analysis
-Affective computing on mobile platforms
-User centric computing
-Activity and action recognition
-Mobile technology integration for robotics
-Benchmarking, databases and simulation tools

The HBU is organized as a full-day, single track event with invited
talks, and oral presentations.

Submissions:
Submissions must represent original material. Papers are accepted for
review with the understanding that the same work has been neither
submitted to, nor published in, another journal or conference. All
manuscripts will undergo a rigorous review process by the members of
the program committee. Submissions are single-blind, 12 page or more, LNCS
style. HBU proceedings are published by Springer Verlag in the LNCS
series, and indexed in ACM DL.

You can submit a paper now at:
https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=hbu2015

Important Dates:
15 June: Submission of full papers
6 July: Notification of acceptance
13 July: Camera-ready paper submissions
7 or 8 September: HBU Workshop

Special Issue:
A special issue proposal is prepared for IEEE Pervasive Computing.
