Overview
The Symposium on Knowledge Discovery, Mining and Learning (KDMiLe) aims at integrating researchers, practitioners, developers, students and users to present their research results, to discuss ideas, and to exchange techniques, tools, and practical experiences related to the Data Mining and Machine Learning areas.
KDMiLe is organized alternately in conjunction with The Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS) and the Symposium on Database Systems (SBBD). This year, 2015, in its third edition, KDMiLe will be held in Itaipava, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from October 14 to 15 in conjuntion with the Brazilian Symposium on Databases (SBBD).
The KDMiLe Program Committee invites submissions containing new ideas and proposals, and also applications, in the Data Mining and Machine Learning areas. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on originality, relevance, technical soundness and clarity of presentation.

Symposium Venue

Itaipava is a district of Petrópolis, the Imperial City of Brazil, in the state of Rio de Janeiro at a distance of 68 km from the Rio. Nestled among the forested hills of the Serra dos Órgãos, in the valley of the Quitandinha and Piabanha rivers, Petrópolis is a popular winter holiday spot. Besides the climate and surroundings, the main attraction is the former Summer Palace of the second Brazilian emperor, which is now the Imperial Museum, specializing in Imperial history and memorabilia.
Petrópolis is home to the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing, a research unit of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Brazilian Federal Government.

Submission Guidelines

Submission web page https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=kdmile2015

Papers may be written in Portuguese or English, and may be submitted in two formats: FULL PAPER (not exceeding 8 pages, for original work) and SHORT PAPER (not exceeding 4 pages, for emerging ideas and research in progress). Papers exceeding this limit will be automatically rejected without being reviewed by the Program Committee. In addition, papers must be submitted in PDF format. Formats other than PDF will NOT be accepted.

Both full and short papers will be published electronically in the KDMiLe proceedings. A preliminary version of the proceedings, including all the accepted papers, will be available to the symposium attendees.

Papers submitted to KDMiLe must not have been simultaneously submitted to any other forum (conference or journal), nor should they have already been published elsewhere. The acceptance of a paper implies that at least one of its authors will register for the symposium to present it. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on originality, relevance, technical soundness and clarity of presentation.
Before submitting a paper, and no later than July 20th 2015, authors must register its title, list of authors and abstract through the submission Web page. Papers must be submitted by July 27th, 2015 using the same website.
The templates for submission are available at the KDMILE web page
