CALL FOR PAPERS ----- Workshop on Data Intensive Computing

Workshop on Data Intensive Computing (WODIC) - as part of ParCo 2015

WODIC date: Sep 2, 2015
ParCo dates: Sep 1-4, 2015
Edinburgh, UK

The Workshop on Data Intensive Computing will focus on the interaction between
storage, data movement and data consumption and production in large scale high performance applications.

Three invited lectures will be delivered by:
Prof. Dr. Peter Sanders, KIT, Germany
Eric Barton, Intel
Dr Bojan Nikolic, SKA SDP workgroup, University of Cambridge

WODIC welcomes original submissions in a range of areas, including but not
limited to:

-I/O systems and middleware and their interactions with applications
-Data formats and protocols
-Studies of data use by applications
-Solutions for future hardware (e.g. non volatile memory, accelerators) in connection with data use by applications

Papers should present original research. As Data Intensive Computing spans many disciplines, papers should provide sufficient background material to make them accessible to the broader community.

All submissions should follow the guidelines for submission of papers to ParCo 2015: with special reference to the specific submission dates for WODIC papers, below. WODIC papers should be a maximum length of 5 pages. Submissions may be made via an EasyChair portal for WODIC 2015:

All papers will be reviewed by at least three reviewers. Papers should not be submitted in parallel to any other conference or journal.

The proceedings of this workshop will be published together with the proceedings of other Parco 2015 workshops in Advances in Parallel Computing. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register as a participant of the workshop and present the paper at the workshop, in order to have the paper published in the proceedings. Register for ParCo 2015:
