DESCRIPTION

The Summer School is organized by the University of Zagreb from June 13-19, 2015 in wonderful and unique Dubrovnik, Croatia, also known as "The Pearl of the Adriatic". In its heyday, it was a bustling, flourishing city protected by its mighty defensive walls. This unique medieval setting has been preserved and was inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.

The main topic addressed by the seasonal school is biomedical image processing and analysis. The topics covered will include medical imaging techniques, image processing methods, image analysis methods, and applications to specific medical image analysis problems. The school is targeted towards doctoral students doing research in the area of biomedical image processing and analysis and practitioners in the area. The Summer School program will include a poster session giving students an opportunity to present and discuss their research results.
