DCE 2015 - 1st Doctoral Student Congress in Engineering
11-13 June, 2015

Abstracts due: March 2nd, 2015

Doctoral and Master's Students from all national and international higher
education institutions are invited to submit on-going work and/or results
in their respective field of engineering to be presented at the Congress
specific Symposia/Special Track.

Given the multi-disciplinary scope of DCE2015, submissions are expected to
highlight the motivation, contextualization and future applicability of their
work, rather than field specific details.

Submissions of abstracts will be eligible for either oral or poster
presentations decided by the Symposia Committee. The best oral and poster
presentations will have the opportunity to win a community award
(to be announced shortly).

After reviewed by authors (see deadline for re-submission of extended and
reviewed abstracts), a Proceedings Book will be published with all abstracts.

Moreover, authors of selected abstracts will be invited to submit a full
paper in a special issue of the U.Porto Journal of Engineering.
The announcement of the selected abstracts will be made after the congress,
together with further instructions for the authors.

Researchers and teachers from any academic institutions are also invited to
participate as attendees. This makes DCE an excellent opportunity for students,
of the several areas of engineering, to discuss their on-going research with
peers, professors and industry.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
==============================================================================

- Authors should submit extended abstracts
(maximum 3000 characters + 1 figure) written in English.

- Authors may submit more than one abstract, as long as the presenter is different.

- Only electronic submission through the conference paper submission web page
(EasyChair) will be accepted. A submission requires that you fill in the
requested title and author fields and the "Abstract" field with your contribution.

- Submissions will be reviewed and, based on the combined marks of the reviewers,
they will be assigned either an oral or a poster presentation.

April 30, 2015 - Deadline for early bird registration
