CALL FOR PARTICIPATION AND PAPERS
5th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON TOURISM 2-5 JULY 2009, ATHENS, GREECE The Tourism Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) in collaboration with Academy of Tourism Research & Studies (ATEM) organizes its 5th International Conference on Tourism in Athens, Greece, 2-5 July 2009. The conference will take place at the St George Lycabettus Boutique Hotel. For programs of previous conferences and other information visit the conference website www.atiner.gr/docs/Tourism.htm. The registration fee is €250 (euro), covering access to all sessions and 2 lunches and conference material. Special arrangements have been made with the conference hotel (St George Lycabettus) for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate of €170 (single)-190 (double). Prices include breakfast. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of entertainment, a special one-day cruise in the Greek islands and a half-day tour to archaeological site. The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars, researchers and students from all areas of Tourism. Areas of interest include (but are not confined to): Tourism and Economic Development Tourism Geography National and Regional Tourism Policy European Union's Tourism Policy Mega Events (Olympics Games) and Tourism Hotel Management and Marketing Restaurant Management and Marketing Tourism Economics Tourism Marketing Tourism Management Travel Agents and Tour Operators Sports Tourism International Tourist Organizations (i.e. WTO, WTTC etc). Tourism Research and Methodology Tourism, Recreation and Leisure Tourism Education All abstracts should be submitted in English. The length of abstract should not be longer than 300 words, and should preferably follow the following structure: Title Authors Positions Affiliations Objective Material & Methods Results Conclusions Selected (reviewed) papers will be published in a Special Volume of the Conference Proceedings.
