20th International Conference on Implementation and Application of Automata
CIAA 2015
August 18-21, 2015, Umeå (Sweden)

The CIAA conference series, which was started in 1996, covers all aspects of implementation, application, and theory of automata and related structures. Topics of interest include, but not limited to: algorithms on automata, automata and logic, bioinformatics, complexity of automata operations, compilers, computer-aided verification, concurrency, data structure design for automata, data and image compression, design and architecture of automata software, digital libraries, DNA/molecular/membrane computing, document engineering, editors, environments, experimental studies and practical experience, implementation of verification methods and model checking, industrial applications, natural language and speech processing, networking, new algorithms for manipulating automata, object-oriented modeling, pattern-matching, pushdown automata and context-free grammars, quantum computing, structured and semi-structured documents, symbolic manipulation environments for automata, transducers and multi-tape automata, techniques for graphical display of automata, VLSI, viruses and related phenomena, and the world-wide web.

The scientific program will consist of invited lectures and presentations of papers selected by the international program committee, based on a thorough peer-reviewing process.

Important dates:
Submission deadline: April 19, 2015
Author notification: May 24, 2015
Camera-ready version: June 5, 2015
Conference: August 18 – August 21, 2015

Submissions must be written in LaTeX using the LNCS style and must not exceed 12 pages, bibliography included. If the authors believe that more details are essential to substantiate the main claims, they may include a clearly marked appendix that will be read at the discretion of the program committee. Simultaneous submissions of papers to journals or any other conference with published proceedings, or submitting previously published papers is not allowed. Only electronic submission of PDF documents is possible. The proceedings will be published in the Springer’s LNCS series and will be available at the conference.

Special issue: After the conference, authors of selected papers will be invited to submit a substantially extended and revised version of their contribution to a special issue of the journal Theoretical Computer Science.

The conference is organized by the Department of Computing Science at Umeå University, Sweden.
