The Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC) is an annual eventpromoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC)and the National Laboratory of Computer Networks (LARC). Over more than three decades ofachievement, SBRC has become the most important national scientific event on computer networks and distributed systems in Brazil, andone of the busiest in the area of Computer Science. Every year, SBRC has attracted nearly 300 full-paper submissions, of which around 25% can be accepted. Over 700 attendees have joined the event yearly, with a large number of students working in the field.
The 33rd edition of the Symposium will be from 18 to 22 May 2015 in Vitoria, Espirito Santo. The organization is under the joint responsibility of the Departments of Informatics (DI) and Electrical Engineering (DEL) of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). The event will comprisetechnical sessions, short courses, panels anddebates, workshops, tool demos, and keynotes & tutorials provided by internationally renowned researchers. Authors are invited to submit full papers containing results of their scientific or technological research. The paper is expected to describe the problem, the conceptual basis, an assessment of the proposed solution, as well as the main contribution of the paper when compared to related work. Manuscripts may be written in Portuguese or in English and submitted in PDF format. Each paper is limited to 14 pages, including the abstract, figures, graphs, references and appendices. Papers should be formatted using the SBC template. The submission form will open soon in electronic form through the JEMS system. The authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work to the Brazilian Journal of Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (RB-RESD).
