Original contributions are solicited for the special session “Image Mining: Processing, Analysis and Modeling” on the eve of 09th
INDIACom; 2015 2nd International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development in the heart of the India’s capital and historical city: New Delhi.
Every second a vast amount of image data such as medical images, satellite images etc. are formed. Image mining systems which can take out major information from image data are being more sought after. Image mining can help exposing new associations between data. In the medical domain, relation between disease and treatment can be assessed, new data that recognizes diseases can be disclosed, diagnoses can be concluded, or assured treatments proposed by image mining. Image mining represents the bound of image processing expertise and data mining helps specialists to consider and analyze complex images. This field takes compensation of computer progress and the development of assorted disciplines such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, etc. This Special session is on the major techniques of Image mining. It deals with methods and approaches to learn the knowledge for computer-assisted image analysis.
