ImBig: CIKM 2014 Workshop on Interactive Mining for Big Data
November 3-7, 2014 Shanghai, China http://nancao.org/workshops/cikm/ Key Dates -------------------------------- All deadlines are 23:59:59 EST (UTC-05) Paper submission due: August 31, 2014 Acceptance notification: September 15, 2014 Camera ready due: September 30, 2014 -------------------------------- Instructions for paper submission -------------------------------- Online submission via http://nancao.org/workshops/cikm/ All submissions must be original work and must clearly document any overlap with previously published or simultaneously submitted papers from any of the authors. Simultaneous submission of the same paper to another venue with proceedings or a journal is prohibited and will be grounds for automatic rejection. Contact the program committee chairs if there are questions about this policy. Papers must be submitted in a form suitable for anonymous review: no author names or affiliations may appear on the title page, and papers should avoid revealing their identity in the text. When referring to your previous work, do so in the third person. Papers must be submitted electronically, in PDF format using the ACM camera-ready templates. Papers must not exceed 10 pages in length (including references and appendices). Papers must be submitted through the ImBig 2014 online submission system, which is also the online review system for the workshop. Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate publication clearances. One of the authors of the accepted paper is expected to register and present the paper at the workshop. The papers with “no shows” will not be indexed by the ACM digital library and will not be included in the published proceedings. For any other questions about paper submission, please contact the program committee chairs. -------------------------------- This workshop is a premier forum for researchers and practitioners from all relevant fields of big data research, presenting their experience and opinions on interactive mining of big data, with emphasis on interactivity and effective integration of techniques from data mining, visualization, and human-computer interaction. We solicit previously unpublished papers offering novel research contributions in any aspect of interactive mining. Papers may present advances in the theory, design, implementation, analysis, verification, or empirical evaluation, and measurement of interactive mining algorithms and systems. Topics of Interest include: • Interactive mining algorithms • Visualization techniques for interactive mining • Demo systems for interactive mining • Never-ending learning, Online learning • Active learning technologies Stream mining • Collective intelligence • Stochastic methods • Computer-human interaction and user study • System and architecture for supporting interactive mining • Complexity and theoretical analysis • Domain adaptation methods • Privacy-preserving issues in interactive mining • Open challenge discussions This topic list is not meant to be exhaustive; ImBig is interested in all aspects of interactive mining for big data.
