Online Social Networks (OSN) and E-health Data
OSN and E-health data, although widely and diligently collected, continue to be under-utilized for research and evaluation. How to make use of the enormous amount of data efficiently and effectively is one of fundamental issues that data science researchers encounter today, particularly for OSN and e-health data analysis. Such research holds a great promise to improve the quality of data analysis. To accomplish this objective, the collaborations of both practical applications and theoretical research will be essential. Organized in conjunction with the 14th IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (IEEE ICDM 2014), the purpose of the 3rd IDP is to provide a forum for discussion and interaction among researchers with interests in the cutting edge techniques of intelligent data processing mechanisms. Participants are invited to submit papers in all areas of data- and knowledge-based approaches, particularly in the areas of Big Data and Online Social Networks. Topics: Papers are welcome from topics related to various data- and knowledge-based approaches in health domains. Research topics of interest include, but are not limited to: . Agent Mining . Agent-based Systems . Artificial Intelligence . Cloud Computing in Data Ming . Electronic Health Record Applications . Graph-based Data Analysis . Implementation and Case Studies . Intelligent health records . Medical Data Mining . Online Social Data Analysis . Optimization Algorithms Paper Submissions: Each submission will be evaluated for acceptability by at least three members of the Program Committee. Decisions about acceptance will be based on relevance to the workshop theme, originality, potential significance, topicality and clarity. For accepted papers, we require that at least one of the submitting authors must be a registered participant at the ICDM 2014 Conference, and committed to attend the IDP’14 Workshop. Submissions to the Workshop are accepted only in pdf format and should be submitted via the workshop submission site: https://wi-lab.com/cyberchair/2014/icdm14/scripts/submit.php?subarea=SK&undisplay_detail=1&wh=/cyberchair/2014/icdm14/scripts/ws_submit.php Papers must be formatted in the IEEE camera-ready format. Submissions must not exceed 8 pages, including figures. Submissions exceeding this limit will not be reviewed. Formatting instructions and LaTeX macros are now available for download: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html Following the general acceptance rules of the ICDM 2014 conference, papers that, at the time of submission, are under review for or have already been published in or accepted for publication in a journal or another conference will not be accepted to the IDP’14 workshop. All accepted Workshop papers will be recommended to submit their extended version to the following Journals including one of ACM Transactions. International Journal of Social Network Mining (To be confirmed) HISS (e-health and medical) ACM Transactions (To be confirmed) Invited Talk: Prof. Jiming Liu, Hong Kong BaptistUniversity,Hong Kong,China Workshop Co-chairs: Hao Lan Zhang (NIT, Zhejiang University, China) Chaoyi Pang (CSIRO, Australia) Xue Li (The University of Queensland, Australia) Rao Kotogiri(The University of Melbourne, Australia) |
