Call For Papers

WCVIM

International Workshop on Computer Vision and Its Application to Image Media Processing

Tokyo, January 13th, 2009, held in conjunction with PSIVT2009

Mission:

Computer vision is one of the key technologies of advanced image and video processing. This workshop, to be held in conjunction with the PSIVT2009 conference, aims to bring together the researchers of computer vision and its application to image media processing. In this workshop, not only the state of the art techniques but also on-going research efforts are welcome. Young researchers are strongly encouraged to submit their papers and to have an opportunity to exchange the ideas among international researchers.



Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

Early Vision, Segmentation, Motion and Tracking, 3D Reconstruction, Illumination and Reflectance Modeling, Object Recognition, Video Analysis and Event Recognition, Face and Gesture, Applications



Dates:

Submission: Oct. 14th, 2008

Extended Abstract (A4, single column, 4 -10 pages)

Notification: Nov. 7th, 2008

Camera ready: Dec. 10th, 2008

A4 double column format, up to 8 pages

Attached files (ex. movies, high resolution images) are welcome

Workshop: Jan. 13th, 2009



Venue:

National Center of Sciences in Tokyo, Japan.

(It is the same as the main conference, PSIVT2009)



Proceedings:

All the accepted papers will be archived in the workshop/tutorial CD-ROM, which is distributed with the main conference (PSIVT2009) proceedings.



Registration:

All the workshop participants are requested to register the main conference (PSIVT2009). The registration fee of the workshop is included in PSIVT2009 registration fee.
