The Interdisciplinary Legal studies is committed to the promotion of interdisciplinary research, teaching, and public outreach designed to shed light on the nature and operation of law and legal institutions, as well as the impacts of law on society and culture in our changing world. The interdisciplinary nature of the legal studies are created across various disciplines as a result of law's boundaries and limits.
Interdisciplinary Legal Studies (ILS) is an engages the meanings, values, practices, and institutions of law and legality. It examines how law shapes and is shaped by political, economic, and cultural forces.
This interdisciplinary nature of Law stimulate critical understanding and of the theoretical frameworks, historical dynamics, and cultural aspect of law.ILS study the important questions of social policy within the framework of jurisprudence and theories of justice. These concerns include individual liberty, privacy, and autonomy; political and social equality; the just distribution of resources and opportunities within society; the relationship between citizens and the state; democratic participation and representation; the moral commitments of the community; and the preservation of human dignity.
