Deadline for manuscript submissions: 15 October 2014
Special Issue Information This Special Issue will synthesize what is known about the molecular mechanisms of evolution and survival of pathogenic and resistant bacteria associated with food. The issue will also integrate studies concerning the risk factors of such bacteria’s dissemination and distribution (in relation to human practices and environmental factors). The emphasis will be on the relationship between antibiotic and virulence determinants and their precise role in bacterial survival and maintenance, the impact of environmental factors, lessons learned across the world, and best practices and transformational adaptive management. For more information, see http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijerph/special_issues/antibiotic_resistance. Keywords farms (crops and animals) foodborne and waterborne bacteria environmental conditions antibiotic resistance and toxicity virulence and pathogenesis origin and evolution survival and adaptability alternative managements This Special Issue will be fully open access. We encourage authors to send us their tentative title and short abstract to the Editorial Office (ijerph@mdpi.com) for approval. Deadline for submission of abstracts is 15 October 2014. Manuscripts should be submitted through the online manuscript submission and editorial system at: http://www.mdpi.com/user/manuscripts/upload/ Submitted papers should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript: http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijerph/instructions/ The Article Processing Charges (APC) are 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs) per accepted paper. For details, please see: http://www.mdpi.com/about/apc/. The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH, ISSN 1660-4601) is an online, open access journal in the interdisciplinary area of environmental health sciences and public health. IJERPH is covered by leading indexing services, including PubMed (Medline) and the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science). Full-text articles are also available through PubMed Central. The most recent Impact Factor for the year 2012 is 1.998. In case of questions, please contact the Editorial Office at: ijerph@mdpi.com |
