Call For Papers

Call For Papers
LRIA Science Days, LRIASD 2014,
USTHB, May 20-21, 2014

Scope
The Laboratory for Research in Artificial Intelligence (LRIA) organizes two science days of the laboratory to be held at USTHB on the 20th and 21st of
May 2014. This scientific event aims to bring together all researchers LRIA members to valorize their latest research conducted in the laboratory. The edition is a means of knowledge transfer and intense scientific exchanges between national and international researchers interested in the field of contemporary artificial intelligence. This edition is also a nice opportunity to build relationships between researchers and identify new research directions. In this new edition of LRIASD 2014, a special session "PhD students track" will be devoted to PhD students for presenting their research work and meeting each other as well as researchers in the field. The LRIASD 2014 includes two main tracks which are: the regular track and the PhD student track. The regular track consists of presentations of research papers as well as invited talks.
PhD students track

As part of the LRIASD 2014, all PhD students are cordially invited to participate in the special session "PhD Student Track" by sending their contribution or ongoing work in the form of papers, posters or demonstrations of prototypes based on their research.

Topics of interest

LRIASD 2014 is concerned with all aspects of contemporary Artificial Intelligence. These include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

• Artificial intelligence (AI)
• Optimization and Meta-heuristics,
• Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
• Distributed Artificial Intelligence
• Multi-Agent Systems
• Machine Learning
• Image Processing, Pattern Recognition and Artificial Vsion
• Ontologies and Semantic Web
• Natural Language Processing
• Information retrieval
• Intelligent Web
• Data mining, Graph mining and Web mining
• Satisfiability and Constraint satisfaction
• Applications such as: transportation problems, Vehicular networks, Timetabling, Scheduling, Computer Security and many AI application areas.

Instructions for Authors

The papers in English may be submitted to the regular or the PhD student tracks. The text is limited to ten (10) pages in the Springer LNCS Style. All submissions will be reviewed by at least two program committee members. The accepted papers will be selected for presentation in either oral (regular or student sessions) or poster sessions by the program committee. All accepted papers will be published in the series of acts of days and will be available at the LRIA laboratory Website.
