Call For Papers

We are pleased to invite you to the1st workshop on Technology for Wearable medical and sports applications TecWear'14) in conjunction with the10th International Intelligent Environments Conference in Shanghai, China from 30th June - 1st July 2014. This workshop will be focused on technologies for healthcare and sports services which share a common body sensing and data processing need. The workshop aims to bring researchers and industries together to share their ideas, methodologies and results so as to encourage the application of intelligent environment technology to these important market sectors. Workshops are an ideal venue for early work such as conceptual models and initial experiements. As such, we are especially interested in papers that can drive discussions that will lead to further research and technology improvements in this important subject. As such the coverage of this workshop is relatively broad and covers topics such as (but are not limited to):

Wearable sensors and computing
Mobile technologies for sports and wellness
Indoor and outdoor localization
Home & Field monitoring agent services
Data fusion for wearable technologies
User centred design for wearable technologies
Context-aware computing for wearable technologies
Multimodal HCI for interaction and feedback
Activity classification algorithms
'Big Data' management and decision support 'in the wild'
Data visualisation for wearable technologies
Real-time behaviour analysis
Real-time crisis management
Sensing and effecting for Chinese medicine
