Call For Papers

The Secretariat of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and Aarhus University invite all those with an interest in international commercial law to the conference: International Commercial Law from a Nordic and Baltic Perspective: Status and Current Challenges.

The background of the conference is that both the Nordic and the Baltic countries have recently experienced significant changes in their international commercial law frameworks, such as the withdrawal of reservations to the UN Convention on Contract for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). These changes in legislation inevitably create new legal questions and cause familiar legal challenges to resurface.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for reconsideration of the current status and challenges of international commercial law. At the conference, leading legal experts will present what they believe to be the most challenging and important issues in the interpretation, application, unification, and research of international commercial law. Legal Experts are invited to speak at the conference and there will be no call for papers.

International Commercial Law: Implementation, interpretation and application of international commercial law in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
