CALL FOR PAPERS

May 19th-20th 2014

Trondheim, Norway

Submission Deadline: February 15th 2014

SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
Health informatics is a discipline meeting at the intersection of the
health profession and the computer science/informatics
profession. Although traditionally used by health care proefssionals,
health informatics applications are now increasingly being developed
for use by the patients themselves, and this presents significant
challenges with respect to, e.g., usability, since many patiens are
frail, disabled or have cognitive impairments.

The workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners and
administrators from different disciplines concerned with issues of
health informatics in the fields of technology, healthcare and the
human and social sciences.

The Workshop topics include (but are not limited to) the following:

eHealth communication
eHealth literacy
Professional and lay communication in citizen centred records
Quality and risk management in eHealth
eHealth ethics
The increasing mobility and communication in citizen centred records
Lessons learned in relation to failure projects
Patient-centered ICT
The impact of ICT for professional healthcare practice
Translating HI research into clinical practice
Methodological development of healthcare ICT relevant for practice
Usability of health informatics
Policies and strategies for ICT in healthcare
Bridging the gap between health informatics research and clinical practice
Health informatics on new computing platforms
Health informatics for home use
Coordination aspects in use of health informatics
Design aspects of health informatics
