Call For Papers

Dear Madam / Sir,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee we are glad to invite you to submit your papers and participate at the International Conference “Monetary, Banking and Financial Issues in Central and Eastern EU Member Countries: How Can Central and Eastern EU Members Overcome the Current Economic Crisis?” organized by „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi (Romania) between 10th - 12th of April 2014.

The main objective of the conference is to promote the enhancement of knowledge and debates on the role and the place of financial and monetary policies in the process of relaunching the European economy and obtaining long term economic growth in the European Union in the aftermath of the international financial crisis.

The contributors will be encouraged to approach one of the three main topics of the conference (but not limited to):
• Implications of the Global Financial Crisis to the Banking Sector
• The Relationship between the Financial Markets and the Real Economy
• Economic Policy Challenges during the Times of Financial and Economic Crisis (Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, Exchange Rate Policy and Regulation)

Language:
The language of the conference is English. All papers must be submitted in English.

Publication:
Final version of accepted papers will be published in the conference volume (with ISBN). Only papers presented during the conference will be published. The conference proceedings will be submitted for indexing in the Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
Selected papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Public Administration, Finance and Law (JOPAFL).
The Journal of Public Administration, Finance and Law is a peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in the international databases Index Copernicus Journals Master List, EBSCO, Scirus, EconLit, Google Scholar, Central and Eastern European Online Library CEEOL), DOAJ and Ulrich'S Periodicals Directory.
All submissions are subject to a double blind review process. Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and contribution.

Instructions for authors:

Participants can send either an individual paper or two papers in collaboration. The organizing committee will not accept papers with more than 3 co-authors.
The maximum number of papers accepted for each author (either leading author or co-author) is two.
The papers will be written in English and their length should be between 4 and 6 pages.
The paper format must strictly follow the guidelines. The template form of the final paper will be available on the conference website.

Conference fee:

There is no conference fee. All the expenses with conference materials, paper publication, coffee breaks and conference lunch will be supported from the funds provided by the “Monetary, Banking and Financial Issues in Central and Eastern EU member countries” project, Reference 542830-LLP-1-2013-1-RO-AJM-IC, within the Jean Monnet Life Long Learning Programme - Key Activity 1.
