Final CFP:
Special Issue on Multi-agent-based problem solving methods in Big Data Environment

The surge of online services and digital applications has generated tremendous data, which brings people to a so-called “Big Data” era. Improving the efficiency of data processing and analysis hence becomes a rather important issue. A number of methods have been suggested for solving the “Big Data” problem including multi-agent-based methods. Artificial intelligence and intelligent systems offer efficient mechanisms that can significantly reduce the costs of processing large volume data and improve data processing quality. Practical applications have been developed in different areas including health informatics, financial data analysis, geographic systems, automated manufacturing processes, etc.

This special issue particularly focuses on using multi-agent-based technology to solve the complex problems in Big Data environment. This issue covers the state-of-art technology in the areas of multi-agent-based data processing, agent-based data mining as well as the future trends and related issues in this field. We invite the submission of high-quality manuscripts reporting relevant research in the area of intelligent data processing, internet-based social networks, agent-based online data analysis, agent-based data mining, etc. The special issue welcomes submissions presenting theoretical, technical, experimental, methodological and/or applicative contributions in this scope, addressing the following topics (but not limited to):
• Agent Mining
• Agent-based Data Processing
• Agent-based Online Social Networks
• Autonomy-Oriented Computing
• Big Data Optimization Methods
• Graph-based Data Analysis
• Multi-agent-based Problem Solving
• Implementation and Case Studies
• Intelligent Data Processing
• Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
• Multi-agent Systems & Applications
• Optimization Algorithms for Data Processing
