Call For Papers

Services account for a major part of the IT industry today. Companies increasingly like to focus on their core expertise area and use IT services to address all their peripheral needs. Services Computing is a new science which aims to study and better understand the foundations of this highly popular industry. It covers the science and technology of leveraging computing and information technology to model, create, operate, and manage business services. Like its predecessors, SCC 2014 will contribute in building the pillars of this important science and shaping the future of Services Computing.

Services Computing currently shapes the thinking of business modeling, business consulting, solution creation, service delivery, and software architecture design, development and deployment. The global nature of Services Computing leads to many opportunities and challenges and creates a new networked economic structure for supporting different business models. SCC 2014 will help in bridging the gap between business services and information technology by driving research in technologies such as service-oriented architecture (SOA), business process integration and management, service engineering, cloud computing and Web 2.0. Extended versions of selected research track papers will be invited for potential publication in the IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR), and International Journal of Business Process Integration and Management (IJBPIM). Both TSC and JWSR are indexed by SCI and EI [Link]. According to Thomson Scientific, JWSR is listed in the 2008 Journal Citation Report with an Impact Factor of 1.200. The TSC's impact factor in 2012 is 2.46. The journal ranks #47 of 99 in the Computer Science, Information Systems and ranks #37 of 86 in Computer Science, Software Engineering. SCC Proceedings are EI indexed.

Under the umbrella of the IEEE 2014 World Congress on Services (SERVICES 2014), SCC 2014 will co-locate with the following service-oriented sister conferences: the 7th IEEE 2014 International Conference on Cloud Computing (CLOUD 2014), the 21th IEEE 2014 International Conference on Web Services (ICWS 2014), the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Mobile Services (MS 2014), and the 3rd IEEE International Congress on Big Data (BigData 2014). The five co-located theme topic conferences will all center around "services," while each focusing on exploring different aspects (web-based services, cloud-based services, services innovation lifecycle, mobile services, and services economics).
IEEE World Congress on Services

Sponsored by IEEE Computer Society's Technical Committee on Services Computing (TC-SVC), 2014 IEEE World Congress on Services (SERVICES 2014) aims to serve as a federation to host the following five theme topic conferences to explore the deep knowledge space of Services Computing in different directions:

The 2014 IEEE 7th International Conference on Cloud Computing (CLOUD 2014) is the flagship theme-topic conference formodeling, developing, publishing, monitoring, managing, delivering XaaS (everything as a service) in the context of various types of cloud environments.
The 2014 IEEE 21st International Conference on Web Services (ICWS 2014) is the flagship theme-topic conference for Web-based services, featuring Web services modeling, development, publishing, discovery, composition, testing, adaptation, and delivery, and Web services technologies as well as standards.
The 2014 IEEE 11th International Conference on Services Computing (SCC 2014) is the flagship theme-topic conference for services innovation lifecycle that includes enterprise modeling, business consulting, solution creation, services orchestration, services optimization, services management, services marketing, business process integration and management.
The 2014 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Mobile Services (MS 2014) is the emerging theme-topic conference for the development, publication, discovery, orchestration, invocation, testing, delivery, and certification of mobile applications and services.
The 2014 IEEE 3rd International Congress on Big Data (BigData 2014) is the emerging theme-topic conference for economic and enterprise transformation aspects of the utility-oriented services paradigm.
