Deadline for abstract submission: September 30, 2013

Announcement of accepted abstracts: from October 7, 2013

Requirements: maximum number of abstract's words: 600; thematic working group(WG); title; author's full name (maximum of 4 authors); University; Academic degree; Abstract; 3-5 keywords.

Languages for submission: English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Publications: Abstracts accepted by the scientific committee and presented during the Congress will be published on the Congress website in a volume indexed by ISSN. The best works will be selected by the Scientific Committee after the Congress and they will be published in full.

Thematic Working Groups (WG):

1- Eletronic Justice:
a) Legal Logic and legal informatics;
b) New technologies and artificial intelligence to the Courts and the Law;
c) Software and hardware applied to the administration of Justice.

2- Computerisation of Law: its challenges, effects, problems and solutions.

3- Judiciary and Politics
a) Control Mechanisms, Institutional Accountability, Transparency and Democracy;
b) Efficiency and Performance of the Judiciary;
c) Constitutional Policies and Political Institutions.

4- Quantitative Justice (Q-Justice)
a) Judicial Metrics: methodologies for the evaluation of judicial system;
b) Empirical research applied to Law.

SCHEDULE: Lectures in the mornings and evenings, presentation of Working Groups (WG) in the afternoons.
