Engineering projects are huge in scope and volume. In order to optimally realize them into reality clear vision and determination is required. Most of such projects fail due to management failure instead of technical weaknesses. In order to realize such projects in successful manner, extensive planning, monitoring and knowledge management need to be handled in effective manner. In this book we aim to highlight how knowledge management (KM) advances can help in effectively planning huge engineering undertakings. Knowledge management paradigms have been highly effective in improving organizational performances.

In order to effectively manage such engineering projects different KM methodologies can be employed, but adopting such practices has not been so simple. In this book we intend to provide latest knowledge about theory and practice of such KM practices which will help in improving project management methodologies, principles, tools and technologies.
