The 2013 International Workshop on Data Mining in Internet of Things
(IEEE/IFIP DMIoT 2013)
http://trust.csu.edu.cn/conference/dmiot2013/
In conjunction with
11th IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing (EUC 2013)
http://trust.csu.edu.cn/conference/euc2013/
Zhangjiajie, China, November 13-15, 2013

The Internet of Things (IoT) is going to create a world where physical objects are seamlessly integrated into the information networks, in order to provide advanced and intelligent services for human beings. In IoT, the number of interconnected “things” devices had overtaken the actual number of people population in the world in since 2011, and it is expected to reach 24 billion devices by 2020. However, these massive, heterogeneous and non-synchronous data in sensed or collected by IoT presents introduces significant challenges to the data mining technologies and algorithms that have been successfully used in many areas. In recent years, Data Mining in Internet of Things (DMIoT) has received increasing attention, and has been successfully applied in manyfields.
DMIoT 2013 aims at providing a technical forum workshop for continuously discussing the latest academic and industrial research results related to Data Mining in Internet of Things.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1) Data collection and abstraction in IoT
2) Data synchronization in IoT
3) Clustering and classification in IoT
4) Trust, security and privacy of data in IoT
5) Efficient huge data process
6) Data fusion and mining algorithms
7) Pervasive data computing
8) Neural network computing, learning automata
9) Modeling and algorithms related to data mining in IoT
10) Mobile social networking and mobile cloud computing
11) Smart grid and smart metering
12) Smart education

Important Dates
Paper submission deadline: July 15th, 2013
Author notification: August 15th, 2013
Final manuscript due: September 15th, 2013

Submission Instructions
Papers submitted toDMIoT2013 should be written in English conforming to the IEEE Conference Proceedings Format (8.5" x 11", Two-Column). The paper should be submitted through the EasyChair paper submission system at the workshop website. The length of the papers should not exceed 6 pages + 2 pages for over length charges.

The accepted papers of DMIoT2013 will be published by IEEE Computer Society in IEEE proceedings (indexed by EI Compendex). Distinguished papers, after further revisions, will be invited for possible publication in special issues of prestige international journals indexed by SCI and EI. Submitting a paper to DMIoT2013 means that, if the paper is accepted, at least one author should attend the workshop and present the paper.
