2009 INTERNATIONAL SPORTS MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE: Innovative Solutions for Administration, Facilities, Events, Legal Aspects, Marketing and Technology in Sports
Lausanne, Switzerland - May 6-8, 2009

WHY MANAGEMENT OF SPORTS?
Sports and champions are controlled not only by human factors but by the very frontiers of science. The management of sports has become a very sophisticated yet evolving process of discovery and exploration. And as such, success has come to be recognized as a synergy between all the team members that contribute to the performance of our champions: leaders, managers, sales professionals, marketing directors, facilities administrators, competition managers, academics, coaches, IT specialists, lawyers, player agents and general support staff, all connected directly or indirectly to sports.

WHY AN INTERNATIONAL EVENT ON SPORTS
MANAGEMENT?
The process of globalization of the 21st Century imposes new factors, conditions and economic concerns that make the staging of major international sports competitions a truly intricate and multi-faceted endeavor. It is from this particular premise that the conveners have packaged the themes outlined below as well as gathered the leaders of various international competitions and organizations, professional sports teams, major international sponsors, and key individuals involved in the business and management of these events. On the platform of this dynamic development of the world of sports, we are creating a new environment of communicating and exchanging past and present
experiences as well as formulating solutions and future directions. This is our contribution to the world of sports as well as our own way to express sports management as a perfect symbiosis of science, art and business.
