Scope and Motivation
The Latin-American Master Thesis Contest is an annual event that takes place in conjunction with the Conference organized by the Centro Latinoamericano de Estudios en Informática (CLEI). The objective is to disseminate the work of Latin American students who have recently completed their Master Thesis in Computer Science.
Graduated students in Master programs in Latin American Universities during the period from April 1st 2012 to March 31th 2013 may participate in the contest. The work submitted must be individual (cannot be in group).
To participate in the contest, a summary of the thesis should be submitted. A Committee will select the three best Theses.
To receive the award each winning Thesis must be presented orally at CLEI 2013. The summary of each winning Thesis will be published in the proceedings of the XXXIX Conferencia Latinoamericana de Informática, to be held in Venezuela, 7 - 11 October 2013.
The XXXIX CLEI will be held in Club Puerto Azul (http://www.puertoazul.com), near Naiguatá, a Venezuelan town in front of Caribbean beaches. The club is located 32 km from the International Airport of Maiquetia and 55 km from the city of Caracas. CLEI is organized by Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Universidad Central de Venezuela, Universidad Simón Bolívar, and Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela.
