Special Issue on Automated Verification of Critical Systems
Guest editors: Steve Schneider, Helen Treharne

Submission deadline: 31 May 2014
Notification: 30 September 2014

This special issue is devoted to the scope of the international workshop on Automated Verification of Critical Systems (AVoCS 2013 - see http://www.avocs2013.org.uk) which the University of Surrey, UK, hosted in September 2013. AVoCS is devoted to tools and techniques for the verification of critical systems. These topics are to be interpreted broadly and inclusively.

Typical, but not exclusive topics of interest are:

• Model Checking
• Automatic and Interactive Theorem Proving
• SAT, SMT or Constraint Solving for Verification
• Abstract Interpretation
• Specification and Refinement
• Requirements Capture and Analysis
• Verification of Software and Hardware
• Specification and Verification of Fault Tolerance and Resilience
• Probabilistic and Real-Time Systems
• Dependable Systems
• Verified System Development
• Industrial Applications

Submission to this special issue is completely open. We expect original articles (typically 20-30 pages) that present high-quality contributions that have not been previously published in an archival venue and that must not be simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere.

Submissions must comply with SCP's author guidelines (see http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/505623/authorinstructions) and be written in English.

Submission is via the SCP website: http://ees.elsevier.com/scico/default.asp. This is a login page; you will need to register first if you do not have an account already. When submitting your paper please choose the article type "Special issue: AVoCS 2013".
