ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstracts (at least one but no more than two full pages) prepared using the abstract template (to be downloaded from the Symposium website) should reach the Organization no later than 31st January 2013.
The abstract must clearly present background, objectives, methodology and results on a sound basis (innovative case studies, research data, practical experiences, investigations, etc.). Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation; offers of papers for workshops are also welcome.

The official language of the Symposium will be English. All papers must be written and presented in English. Authors will be expected to attend the conference and present their papers themselves.
In addition, the Symposium will arrange a session to be held entirely in Italian, in order to facilitate the participation of local delegates. Italian authors may freely submit papers for inclusion in both English and Italian sessions (in the English and Italian languages, respectively). Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the Leading Author by 28th February 2013. If notification has not been received by the above date, Authors should contact the Organizers.

Full papers should be addressed to the Organizers and received no later than 15th May 2013. Final papers should be prepared in accordance with the Instructions for Authors provided and their quality and contents should conform with the abstract originally submitted. Papers not complying with the conditions above will be removed from the Symposium programme. Authors presenting their work in an oral session or workshop will also be requested to submit their PowerPoint presentations no later than 10th September 2013.

All papers accepted for presentation at the Symposium will be published in Proceedings available at the start of the Symposium.

A selected number of the highest quality papers will also be invited to be peer-reviewed and published by the renowned scientific journal Waste Management, published by Elsevier.
