Call For Papers

KICSS'2013 will be the 8th in the series of highly successful interdisciplinary conferences on creativity and related topics and the first one to be held in Europe, following Melbourne (2012), Beijing (2011), and Chiang Mai (2010). Proceedings of the previous KICSS conferences have been published by Springer LNCS/LNAI, IEEE CPS, JAIST Press. Paper submission:

Regular Papers on all above topics should be formatted according to the LNCS format and should not exceed 12 pages. The maximum page number for short and demo papers as well as research-in-progress reports is 6 pages in the LNCS format.

The KICSS 2013 papers can be submitted and re-submitted via Easychair at: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=kicss2013
until July 29, 2013 (final extension).

* Submissions that overlap substantially with any other papers printed, submitted, or accepted for publication or presentation elsewhere are not allowed.
* Each author may present up to two papers. An additional fee for the second paper will apply.
* Abstract-only submissions will not be considered for presentation at the conference.
* The KICSS’2013 proceedings will be published in the Springer Series: Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing, ISSN 2194-5357 (previous title: Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing), indexed by ISI (Web of Science) Proceedings, SCOPUS, Ulrich's, EI-Compendex, DBLP, Zentralblatt Math, MetaPress, Springerlink; see more at http://www.springer.com/series/11156. The proceedings will contain all the revised regular papers and - following an extension - a selection of short and demo papers as well as research-in-progress reports. In addition, all accepted papers will appear in the Documentation Volume with an ISBN number which will be distributed to the participants at the conference.
* The authors of the selected best papers presented at the conference will be invited to submit revised and extended versions of their KICSS contributions to special issues of high-ranking scientific journals.


Awards:
---------
The best papers written and presented by PhD or MSc students will be awarded the KICSS’2013 Prizes. A proof of student status will be required.
