:: iWAPT-8 :: CALL FOR PAPERS The 8th International Workshop on Automatic Performance Tuning iwapt.org/2013/ One day in the time frame of June 5 - June 7, 2013 in Barcelona, Spain The iWAPT 2013 will be held in conjunction with ICCS 2013. www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2013/ =============================================================== # Important dates * Submissions due: Friday, January 15, 2013 (anywhere on Earth) * Notification: Friday, February 15, 2013 * Camera-ready: Friday, March 1 Submission site: www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2013/papers/upload.php (See below for instructions.) # About iWAPT The goal of the Eighth International Workshop on Automatic Performance Tuning (*iWAPT 2013*) is to bring together researchers who are investigating automated techniques for constructing and/or adapting algorithms and software for high performance on modern complex computer architectures. We are particularly interested in autotuning and its relationship to the following topic areas (list is not exhaustive): * Machine-adaptive algorithms and software * Program generation * Performance analysis and modeling * Parallel and distributed computing * Numerical algorithms and libraries * Multi- and manycore systems, heterogeneous architectures * Compilation, e.g., iterative and empirical compilers * Programming models * Runtime systems * Empirical search heuristics * Power- and/or energy-aware computing # Paper submissions iWAPT13 invites submissions of regular full papers. Regular papers present *new, previously unpublished work*. Such papers will undergo the usual peer-review, judged on the criteria of novelty, technical soundness, and writing quality. All accepted papers will be assigned a speaking slot in the workshop's agenda. Furthermore, the accepted papers are published by Elsevier in their new Procedia Computer Science series (ICCS2013 proceedings). # Submission guidelines Regular paper length - maximum 10 pages The submitted paper must be camera-ready and formatted according to the rules of Procedia Computer Science. A LaTeX template and an MS Word template file are available via http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2013/cfp.html. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. PostScript and source versions of your paper must be submitted electronically through the paper submission system (http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2013/papers/upload.php). Please note that papers must not exceed ten pages in length when typeset using the Procedia format. # Program Committee * (Chair) Takeshi Iwashita, Kyoto University, Japan * (Vice Chair) Franz Franchetti, Carnegie Mellon University, USA * Francois Bodin, CAPS Enterprise, France * Matteo Frigo, Quanta Research Cambridge, USA * Robert van de Geijn, University of Texas at Austin, USA * Toshiyuki Imamura, AICS Riken, Japan * Jeremy Johnson, Drexel University, USA * Takahiro Katagiri, University of Tokyo, Japan * Osni Marques, LBNL, USA * Akira Naruse, Fujitsu laboratory * Satoshi Ohshima, University of Tokyo, Japan * Louis-Noel Pouchet, UCLA, USA * Takao Sakurai, Hitachi Ltd., Japan * Hiroyuki Takizawa, Tohoku University, Japan * Richard Vuduc, Georgia Tech., USA * Yusaku Yamamoto, Kobe University, Japan * Masahiro Yasugi, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan # Organizing Committee * (General Chair) Domingo Gimenez, University of Murcia, Spain * (Finance Chair) Toshiyuki Imamura, AICS Riken, Japan * (SC liaison) Reiji Suda, The University of Tokyo, Japan * (Web Chair) Hisayasu Kuroda, Ehime University, Japan * (Publicity Chair) Akihiro Fujii, Kogakuin University, Japan * (Local Arrangement) Judit Gimenez, Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, Spain * (PC Chair) Takeshi Iwashita, Kyoto University, Japan * (PC Vicechair) Franz Franchetti, Carnegie Mellon University # Contact iwapt2013 .at. sys.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp # Related Workshop * Special Session: Auto-Tuning for Multicore and GPU (ATMG) in The 2013 IEEE 7th International Symposium on Embedded SoCs (MCSoC-13) NII, Tokyo, Japan, September 26-28, 2013 |
