The CIASE 2013 provides an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of computational intelligence in software engineering, targeting the provision of alternative, interdisciplinary approaches for tackling problems found in Software Engineering. The integration of Software Engineering with Computational Intelligence is very important to both academic and research communities as well as to software industries. The overlap between Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering has seen the development of Computational Intelligence applications to address various problems in Software Engineering. Some example applications include software measurement selection, defect prediction models, Cost Estimation and Failure Modeling, software reuse, software requirements gathering, project management, etc.
The aim of this special session is to obtain a good perspective into the current state of practice of computational intelligence applications to address important Software Engineering problems. some topics relevant to this session include, but are not limited to: Clustering and Classification, Decision Support, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Text Mining & Retrieval, Fuzzy Logic & Systems, Probabilistic Reasoning, Model Learning, Recommender Systems, Expert Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Evolutionary Algorithms Ranking Algorithms, Cognitive Processes,Evolutionary Computing,Swarm Intelligence, Artificial Immune Systems, Dempster-Shafer Theory, Chaos Theory, Multi-valued Logic, Ensemble Techniques, Hybrid Intelligent Models applied to Requirements Engineering Software Architectures Software Methodologies Software Design Software Performance Software Quality Modelling & Assessment Software Reliability Modelling & Forecasting Software Maintenance Software Testing, Verification & Validation Software Metrics Software Reuse Software Project Management Object-Oriented Development Open Source Software Agile Software Development Software Repository Management Mobile Software Development Software Risk Analysis & Modelling Configuration Management Component-Based Software Development Cloud Computing Web Engineering Search-Based Software Engineering Context-Aware Software Systems Oriented Software Systems Researchers are encouraged to submit their contributions that have direct impact or high dependence on practical issues encountered in real-world environments. Industrial- and market-oriented research papers are also highly encouraged. To this end, CIASE’s Program Committee consists of members not only from academic/research institutions but also from the software industry, and these members will assist in the review process in cases of industrial- and market-related papers. Accepted papers will be published on IEEEXplore (IEEE Digital Library). Prospective authors are invited to submit an original full-length paper (10-point font) in IEEE format via the EDAS submissions system at ICCIT EDAS (special session) . Note that the maximum number of pages is 6; 5 pages plus 1 additional page allowed with a charge for the one additional page of USD100 if accepted. Submitted papers must represent original material that is not currently under review in any other conference or journal and has not been previously published. IEEE specification based Latex and MS-Word templates for paper submission are available here. Registration is required for all participants. To be published in the proceedings, every accepted paper MUST have at least one registered author at the full rate and must be presented at the conference. For authors with multiple papers, one full registration is valid for up to 2 papers. More details about the registration can be found at ICCIT registration page.
