Many geophysical models are nonlinear; in this case the model parameters and the physical response are not related by a simple linear relation. Inversion of these model parameters from geophysical observation is a crucial problem in geophysics.
The goal of this session is to present the new techniques and methods on the nonlinear inversion in geophysics, case studies, demonstration of the power or weaknesses of a given technique of inversion, comparison between techniques of inversion.
We invite poster or oral presentations of any works related to the nonlinear inversion in geophysics
