International Workshop on Privacy-AwaRe Intelligent Systems (PARIS 2012),
to be held in conjunction with the 20th International Symposium on Methodologies for Intelligent Systems (ISMIS), December 4-7, 2012, Macau Website: www.ciise.concordia.ca/newsandevents/2012/PARIS12/ ** CALL FOR PAPERS** The success of intelligent systems relies on the availability of effective information sharing. However, person-specific information often contains sensitive information about individuals, and sharing such information could potentially violate individual privacy. The goal of this workshop is to provide a platform for knowledge exchange between theoreticians and practitioners in the areas of privacy protection and intelligent systems. Topics of interest include, but not limited to, Privacy-aware information sharing Privacy-aware knowledge discovery Privacy-aware location based services Privacy-preserving data collection Privacy-preserving distributed systems Privacy challenges in healthcare systems Privacy-preserving text mining Privacy in social networks Data privacy Privacy attacks on anonymized data Anonymous query systems Privacy issues in cloud computing ** IMPORTANT DATES ** Submission deadline: October 10, 2012 Notification of acceptance: October 31, 2012 Presentation: December 4, 2012 ** SUBMISSION ** Authors are encouraged to submit original research papers that are not being considered for publication in any other research forum. Manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format and formatted using the Springer camera-ready templates which can be found at here. Submissions are limited to 12 pages in length. Manuscripts can be e-mailed to the workshop organizer at (fung (at) ciise (dot) concordia (dot) ca) with subject "[PARIS 2012] : (Paper Title)". Extended versions of the accepted papers will be published in a post-conference book. One of the authors of each accepted paper is required to register the workshop and present the paper in person in the workshop; otherwise, the paper will be withdrawn from the book. |
