Call For Papers

While the IEEE Photonics Conference 2012 – to be held from 23 to 27 September near San Francisco airport - may seem far away, work has already started to make it as much a success as the 2011 meeting.

The IEEE Photonics Conference, previously known as the IEEE LEOS Annual Meeting, offers technical presentations by the world’s leading scientists and engineers in the areas of lasers, optoelectronics, optical fiber networks, and associated lightwave technologies and applications. It also features compelling plenary talks on the industry’s most important issues, weekend events aimed at students and young photonics professionals, and a manufacturer’s exhibition.

More than 600 people from industry, academia and government gather for IEEE Photonics Conference, to a part of the latest results on technologies and applications where quantum electronic devices involving light are key elements, including: Biophotonics, Displays and Lighting, High Power / Intensity Sources, Microwave Phottonics, Nanophotonics, Non-Linear and Ultrafast Optics, Optical Communications, Optical Fiber Technology, Optical Interconnects, Optical Networks and Systems, Photodetectors, Sensors, Systems and Imaging, Photonic Integration and Packaging, Photonic Materials Science and Technology, Semiconductor Lasers.

Authors submitting papers to IEEE Photonics Conference 2012 taking place in Burlingame California, are required to submit a 35-word abstract and a 2 page-limit summary, along with the completed online submission form via the Photonics Society online paper collection website beginning 6 April and no later than 11 May. Authors will be notified by 22 June regarding the status of their paper by email. Notifications are sent only to the corresponding author.

A copyright agreement form must be completed as part of the submission process. You will be able to submit your Copyright form electronically at the end of the submission process. You can still opt to send a signed copyright agreement form, but it MUST be mailed to the IEEE/Photonics Society office within 72 hours of paper submission. Write the corresponding author's last name in the upper left hand corner of the form and put the online submission assigned paper ID number in the upper right hand corner.

Technical papers received outside the electronic submission site will not be accepted. Revisions will only be accepted up until the paper submission deadline.

Electronic Submission: Authors are asked to provide vital pieces of information, including, but not limited to the paper title, presentation type, and a 35-word abstract, as well as all authors' contact information. This information must be completed in its entirety; failure to do so may inhibit your ability to successfully complete your submission.

The 35-word Abstract will be used for publication in the Advance Program. Over length abstracts will not be accepted and will affect your ability to successfully submit your work.

The 2 Page Summary will be published in the Conference Proceedings if accepted. It must be submitted as a PDF file. Please see the link below for detailed submitting information.
