The 2012 International Workshop on Smart Devices, Applications, and Services (SmartIT 2012) will be held in Jeju, Korea, November 22-25, 2012.

SmartIT 2012 will be the most comprehensive workshop focused on advances in Smart Devices, Applications, and Services. SmartIT is an outcome of a state of the art and novel mobile technologies that includes highly capable handheld device or cell-phone with advanced features such as iPhone OS, Android, Linux Mobile, Windows Mobile/Phone operation system, access to the Internet, and other computer-like processing capabilities similar to personal computer. Recently, smartphones have been widely used and are reaching over 4 billion subscribers these days due to their innovative capabilities of supporting many interesting/valuable applications and handheld mobile Internet service. Most of researchers predict smartphone will have a portion about 40 % among whole mobile handsets. On the other hand the rapid growing trends of smartphones throughout the past few years have contributed to increasing Pervasive Computing (PC) for providing a variety of convergence services, playing a key role to connect with smart and intelligent computing devices. The goal of this issue is to bring together the state of the art research contribution that describes original and unpublished work addressing for Smart Devices, Applications, and Services technologies for PC. It will reflect the state-of-the-art of the various smart devices, applications, and services, open market place for smartphone applications, smartphone platforms, smartphone security of new processing techniques in engineering, science, and other disciplines related to the smartphone applications and services for pervasive computing.

Paper Submission and Proceeding

Papers must strictly adhere to page limits (8-10 pages for Full Papers, 4-5 pages for Regular Papers).
Papers exceeding the page limits will be rejected without review.

All submissions must be made electronically : http://www.editorialsystem.net/smartit2012/

All submissions must be written in English. They must contain no information identifying the author(s) or their affiliation(s).
All papers must be submitted in an electronic format which conforms to the workshop proceedings style and submitted as DOC or PDF files.
Papers must strictly adhere to page limits (8-10 pages for Full Papers, 4-5 pages for Regular Papers).
Papers exceeding the page limits will be rejected without review.
First, materials (PPT) for presentation of accepted papers will be included in a symposium proceeding.
As you can see the CFP, final version of all accepted and presented papers in this conference will be included in Special Issues of the following international journals indexed by SCI/E and KCIE.
We are planning to accept about many high quality papers for the this conference, and all of them, after presentation at the symposium, will be included in these special issues.
Full Papers will be published to SCI/SCIE Indexed Journals (as of Thomson ISI SCI/SCIE list in 2012).
Regular Papers will be published to International Journals (LNEE, HCIS, JoC, JIPS, etc..).
