*************************************************************************************
The 2012 User-Centric Information Systems for Decision Support Workshop (UC4DS) In conjunction with the 16th East-European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS 2012) September 17th, 2012, Poznan, Poland http://eric.univ-lyon2.fr/~uc4ds/ ************************************************************************************* CALL FOR PAPERS Creating adaptive systems becomes increasingly attractive in the context of specific groups of users, such as in decision support systems. OLAP analyses are at the core of Data Warehousing systems since they promise managers to autonomously carry out complex queries in real-time. They could require a non-negligible effort to find out the useful information. The main goal is then to increase expressivity and to reduce the effort in describing what would be returned according to user interest. Thus, this workshop aims to bring together researchers around research issues related to User-Centric Data warehouses, and more generally User-Centric Information Systems, regarding modeling, data integration, on-line analysis, security, performance, etc. **Topics** The UC4DS 2012 workshop includes the following topics related to user-centric information systems for decision support (but not limited to): - User Modeling - Context Modeling - Query contextualization - Personalization of On Line Analytical Processing - User Profile Mining - Profiling - User Interface for Visualizing Data - Personalized Visualization - Data Privacy and Data Security - User-based Performance Optimization - Recommendation - Social Network and Decision Support Systems - User-centric applications (medical, spatial, web warehousing, etc.) - etc. **Submission** Submissions must be written in English and should not exceed 10 pages in the AISC format (Springer) and must comply with the AISC formatting guidelines available at AISC webpage (http://www.springer.com/series/4240). Submission instructions are available on: http://eric.univ-lyon2.fr/~uc4ds/?page=submit.php **Proceedings** All accepted workshop papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in the AISC series (Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing). Extended versions of the best workshop papers will be published after the conference in the international journal Control and Cybernetics, which is indexed by Thomson Reuters Science Citation Index Expanded. **Important Dates** - May 5th, 2012: abstract submission - May 15th, 2012 : paper submission - June 1st, 2012: notification to authors - June 15th, 2012: camera-ready versions - September 17th, 2012 : workshop date **Workshop chairs** - C?cile Favre, Universit? de Lyon (Lyon 2), France - Fadila Bentayeb, Universit? de Lyon (Lyon 2), France - Nouria Harbi, Universit? de Lyon (Lyon 2), France |
