PerAgents 2027
The First International Workshop on Pervasive Agentic Systems and Multimodal Foundation Models Co-located with IEEE PerCom 2027 March 8–12, 2027 | Goa, India Call for Papers The First International Workshop on Pervasive Agentic Systems and Multimodal Foundation Models (PerAgents 2027) invites original research contributions addressing the systems-level challenges of bringing autonomous AI agents and foundation models from cloud-centric environments to pervasive, resource-constrained, and physically embedded computing systems. Recent advances in Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), and Multimodal Language Models (MLMs) are creating new opportunities for intelligent systems that can perceive, reason, communicate, and act across diverse physical environments. However, deploying these models in pervasive settings introduces significant challenges related to computation, communication, sensing, coordination, security, privacy, reliability, and resource constraints. PerAgents focuses on the underlying architectures and systems that enable general-purpose agentic intelligence at the edge. Of particular interest are domain-agnostic approaches that can support applications across settings such as smart environments, agriculture, healthcare, transportation, robotics, and other cyber-physical and IoT systems. Topics of Interest We invite original research, position papers, system designs, experimental studies, and emerging ideas related to, but not limited to: * Hardware-software co-design for edge agents * Decentralized and split/federated agentic learning * Multimodal sensor fusion for VLMs/MLMs * Trust, safety, and local overrides for physical actuation * Bandwidth-efficient distributed inference * Cross-domain agent adaptation algorithms * Agentic synchronization across IoT mesh networks Important Dates * Submission Deadline: November 3, 2026 (AoE) * Author Notification: January 8, 2027 * Camera-Ready Deadline: February 2, 2027 * Workshop: March 8–12, 2027 Program Chairs Dipanwita Thakur University of Calabria, Italy Vishesh K.
