Hybrid Intelligence in Product and Production Engineering

The HIPPE Symposium 2027 invites researchers and professionals from engineering and computer science to submit contributions on Hybrid Intelligence in Product and Production Engineering.

The symposium focuses on how hybrid decision support can improve performance in product creation and production engineering by combining human expertise, engineering knowledge, data-driven methods, and artificial intelligence.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• AI in technical processes
• Data-driven product and production engineering
• Human-centred AI systems
• Intelligent production technologies
• Digital engineering methods
• Autonomous and self-regulating production systems
• Decision-support approaches for complex industrial environments
• Engineering data and knowledge
• Symbolic, subsymbolic, and neurosymbolic AI technologies
• Sustainability and circularity in product creation

SUBMISSION

Authors are invited to submit an anonymous abstract in English of no more than 200 words via ConfTool by 10 August 2026.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper of no more than ten pages by 17 January 2027. Accepted contributions will be published in the HIPPE Proceedings. As a rule, at least one author must present the contribution in person for it to be published.

Full paper submission deadline: 17 January 2027
Notification to authors, full paper: 22 February 2027
