About the Event

The 3rd International Conference on Drones and Unmanned Systems (DAUS’ 2027) — will focus on the design, development, integration, testing, and practical application of drones and unmanned systems across aerial, ground, maritime, underwater, and space-related environments.

Drones and unmanned platforms are becoming essential components of modern technological ecosystems. Their rapid development is driven by progress in artificial intelligence, autonomous navigation, advanced sensing, machine vision, edge computing, resilient communications, energy systems, miniaturisation, and swarm coordination. These advances are transforming unmanned systems from remotely operated tools into increasingly intelligent, adaptive, and mission-oriented platforms. Unmanned systems are now widely explored for infrastructure inspection, industrial monitoring, precision agriculture, logistics, construction supervision, environmental observation, emergency response, maritime operations, security, defence, urban air mobility, and scientific exploration. Emerging solutions also include micro- and mini-drones, autonomous surface and underwater vehicles, robotic swarms, and space-oriented unmanned platforms.

This fast technological progress creates new opportunities but also raises important challenges. Safe and reliable operation requires advances in autonomy, navigation, collision avoidance, communication, cybersecurity, human oversight, system certification, operational risk assessment, and integration into existing airspace, maritime, industrial, and urban environments.

DAUS’ 2027 will provide an international forum for researchers, engineers, technology developers, industry representatives, regulators, domain specialists, and end users to present and discuss the latest scientific, technical, and practical advances in drones and unmanned systems. The conference will support interdisciplinary exchange between academia, industry, and application sectors, helping to bridge the gap between research results, prototypes, field trials, and operational deployment.

By addressing current knowledge gaps and encouraging collaboration across disciplines, DAUS’ 2027 aims to accelerate the development of more intelligent, efficient, safe, sustainable, and trustworthy unmanned systems. Particular attention will be given to technologies and applications that can improve industrial productivity, environmental monitoring, infrastructure resilience, emergency response, mobility, security, and the exploration of difficult or hazardous environments.

DAUS’ 2027 is organised by the IFSA — a professional, non-profit association serving the academy and industry since 1999.

The DAUS’ 2027 event is planned to be co-located under the same conference umbrella with the 7th IFSA Winter Conference on Automation, Robotics & Communications for Industry 4.0/5.0/6.0 (ARCI’ 2027). This co-location will create additional opportunities for cooperation in autonomous systems, robotics, intelligent control, sensing, industrial communications, AI-enabled automation, and smart infrastructure.

The conference programme will include plenary and invited talks, contributed oral and poster presentations, special sessions, industry tracks, panel discussions, tutorials, demonstrations, and an exhibition of commercial products and technologies. Social and cultural events will also provide opportunities for professional networking and international collaboration in a friendly atmosphere. We trust that you will find DAUS’ 2027 professionally rewarding, intellectually stimulating, and enjoyable.
