Call For Papers

We kindly invite you to participate and present your latest research at the 29th Generative Art International Conference.
The next GA conference will be held in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. The paper presentation is at the University Public Library.
The presentation dates are the 15th, 16th, and 17th of December 2026. (https://www.generativeart.com).
The conference focuses on:
GENERATIVE ART & AI Uniqueness. The theme of this conference is how to preserve human complexity through Generative Art and AI. After two centuries of industrial production, AI can now respond to the human demand for the uniqueness of a handcrafted product, in contrast to an identical mass-produced item.
Art, poetry, music, architecture, and historic cities management need generative ideas and visions for their relation to the deep new demands of our fast-changing time.
Our field of interest is identifying these possibilities by relating the most advanced creative approaches in GA // AI.
We will be happy to present your generative approach.
This can be done through generative ideas, also to safeguard the specific identities of human Art History.
--
After 28 years of GA conferences, generative approaches and artificial intelligence are now firmly established in our daily lives. We look forward to discussing them.
A Voices of Poetry session will run during the performance session.
THE XXIX GA Conference is organised by the ARGENIA Association.

If you would like to share your scientific and creative work, as well as your generative art and design experiences, please send us an abstract for a paper, artwork, installation, poster, and/or live performance (the template is available at http://generativeart.com/on/upupup/GA2026_AbstractTemplate.doc).

Started in 1998, the annual Generative Art conferences are the leading international meetings for researchers, PhD students, and creative people who perform advanced generative approaches. As in the 28 previous annual conferences, our choice is to have ONLY ONE MAIN SESSION (3 days) with around 40 paper presentations (in presence and, only if necessary, online); an exhibition with posters and artworks; some installations and generative live-performances, whose movies will also be published on the website of the conference. This is because we like to increase the chances of getting to know each other, exchanging experiences, and crossing opinions.
We don't like parallel sessions, and all accepted people will be like KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, scheduled in ONLY ONE PLENARY SESSION.
More than 1,500 papers, artworks, and live performances presented at previous conferences are on the GA website at http://www.generativeart.com for a free consultation.

The DEADLINE for sending your proposals (abstracts of papers, posters, artworks, installations, live performances and poetry voices) is the 3rd of September 2026 and we are sure that, with your contributions, GA2026, the 29th Generative Art meeting, will be, once more, a place where ideas, results, and opinions will be exchanged and where knowing people working with similar design approaches, in a wide range of different disciplines, will be possible.
We are working to organise these conference days to maximise knowledge exchange and discussion among participants, and to experiment with new technological possibilities, such as Generative AI, with a focus on 2D and 3D environments.
Looking forward to meeting you at this conference in Cagliari
Kindest regards,
Celestino Soddu and Enrica Colabella
