Scope of the Edited Book:

The scope of "AI Below the Surface" encompasses a comprehensive exploration of the intersection between artificial intelligence (AI) and underwater exploration. The book aims to provide a holistic understanding of how AI technologies are revolutionizing our approach to studying, navigating, and interacting with the underwater world. It delves into fundamental concepts and principles of AI relevant to underwater exploration, including machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. The book explores a wide range of topics, including AI-driven underwater vehicles and drones, intelligent marine life monitoring, object recognition and interaction in the deep sea, challenges and ethical considerations in underwater AI, future trends in AI and underwater technology, data analytics for underwater environments, AI-assisted oceanographic research, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and machine learning, human-machine collaboration in underwater exploration, AI applications in underwater archaeology, and societal impact and public perception of AI in the deep.
