ATT 2024 - Call for Papers
https://sites.google.com/unimib.it/att2024/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Our apologies if you receive multiple copies of this CFP] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Call for Papers 13th International Workshop on Agents in Traffic and Transportation (ATT 2024) held in conjunction with ECAI 2024 (https://www.ecai2024.eu/) October 19 or 20, 2024 (exact date tbc) Santiago de Compostela, Spain URL: https://sites.google.com/unimib.it/att2024/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- In today’s globalized world of ever-growing inter-dependencies, the domain of traffic and transportation is geographically and functionally distributed; its subsystems have a high degree of autonomy, yet they are highly dependent on each other. Typically, the problem settings arising in this context are characterized by multiple real-time constraints and conflicting goals for safer, more resource efficient, and sustainable (greener) transportation. With the availability of a wealth of road traffic and transportation data, ever-smarter algorithms are needed to handle the resulting complexity of related decision-making, reasoning, and learning processes. The objective of the ATT 2024 workshop is to bring researchers and practitioners together in order to share their views on how large-scale complex transportation systems can be modeled, simulated, controlled, and managed - both at micro and macro level - employing and combining AI-based techniques, models, and approaches under the umbrella of autonomous agents and multiagent systems. Contributions on machine learning, deep learning, and data-driven approaches in general to the problems in traffic and transportation are particularly welcome. TOPICS OF INTEREST Applications of AI technology in traffic, transportation, and transport logistics Intelligent Optimization (e.g., traffic assignment, routing, route choice) Autonomic and autonomous transportation systems Coordination in intelligent transportation systems Intelligent, adaptive traffic control Distributed decision making in traffic, transportation and transport logistics Intelligent vehicles, intelligent assistance systems and human involvement Coordination of intelligent vehicle fleets Agent based intervehicular communication and V2I communication Mobile devices in smart transportation systems Intelligent monitoring of transportation systems, data collection, filtering, prediction and distribution of traffic information and transportation data Autonomous and connected vehicles, collaborative driving Self-* properties and theory of intelligent traffic and transportation systems Agent-based simulation of traffic and transportation systems and their behavior, including detailed models of traffic participant behavior Agent-based pedestrian and crowd simulation Data driven approaches in the domain of traffic and transportation Deep learning architectures for temporal and spatial traffic data Verification and validation of intelligent transportation systems Shared mobility models, e.g., car-sharing, ride-sharing, bike and e-scooter sharing Multi-modal journey planning Mobility-as-a-Service Other future mobility technologies SUBMISSIONS ATT 2024 welcomes original, unpublished papers. All submissions must be written in English, be formatted using CEUR-ART style and must not exceed 12 pages + references. The style is available from http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-XXX/. An Overleaf page for LaTeX users is available at https://www.overleaf.com/read/gwhxnqcghhdt. The submissions are accepted only via the EasyChair conference management system at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=att2024 . Only the PDF of the manuscript is required for the first submission. Each submission will undergo a single-blind peer-review process with three peer reviews. Contributions should carry the title, author(s) name(s), and affiliation including e-mail address, and should include an abstract. Submission details can be found at the ATT 2024 webpage https://sites.google.com/unimib.it/att2024/. CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS ATT 2024 proceedings will be published in CEUR Workshop Proceedings series. We intend to pursue a post-workshop publication of extended versions of workshop papers, based on the quality of the submissions, in special issues dedicated to the workshop in ISI-indexed journals, such as Computer Science and Information Systems (ComSIS), and ATT Communications, following the tradition of previous years (see, e.g., https://doi.org/10.2298/CSIS240100vL , https://doi.org/10.3233/AIC-239001). IMPORTANT DATES May 15, 2024: Workshop paper due date July 8, 2024: Notification of paper acceptance September 8, 2024: Camera-ready papers due October 19 or 20, 2024: ATT-2024 Workshop We intend to allow transfer of papers from the ECAI main conference track and we are investigating the details of the procedure: dates will be updated accordingly. For conference registration dates please see ECAI 24 web site (https://www.ecai2024.eu/). Note: all deadlines are at the end of the day specified, anywhere on Earth (UTC-12). VENUE AND CONTACT DETAILS The ATT 2024 workshop will be held within the workshop program of ECAI 2024. We will let you know when the exact location and date become available.
