CALL FOR PAPERS
15th International Conference on Bioinformatics Models, Methods and Algorithms BIOINFORMATICS website: https://bioinformatics.scitevents.org February 21 - 23, 2024 Rome, Italy IMPORTANT DATES: Position/Regular Paper Submission Extension: November 22, 2023 Authors Notification (regular papers): November 29, 2023 Final Regular Paper Submission and Registration: December 15, 2023 Authors Notification (position papers): December 22, 2023 Final Regular Paper Submission and Registration: January 8, 2024 Scope: The purpose of the International Conference on Bioinformatics Models, Methods and Algorithms is to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the design and application of modelling frameworks, algorithmic concepts, computational methods, and information technologies to address challenging problems in Bioinformatics and Biomedical research. There is a tremendous need to explore how mathematical, statistical and computational techniques can be used to better analyze, predict, and finally understand biological processes and systems. In the face of the massive amount of currently-available biological data, novel methodologies and tools are required. Areas of interest to this community include systems biology and biological networks (regulatory, neuronal, predator-prey, ecological ones, etc.), sequence analysis, biostatistics, graph models, image analysis, scientific data management and data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition, computational evolutionary biology, structural bioinformatics and structure prediction, computational genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics, and related areas. BIOINFORMATICS encourages authors to submit papers to one of the main topics indicated below, describing original work, including methods, techniques, advanced prototypes, applications, systems, tools or survey papers, reporting research results and/or indicating future directions. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference by one of the authors and published in the proceedings. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality. There will be both oral and poster sessions. The proceedings will be indexed by several major international indexers. Special sessions are also welcome. Please contact the secretariat for further information on how to propose a special session.
