Call For Papers | |||||||||||
The HiPEAC Reproducibility Student Challenge will take place at the HiPEAC conference on 18 January 2024, and the deadline for registration is 15 September 2023. The challenge, which involves reproducing a scientific paper, is aimed at students, particularly late-stage undergraduate or master's students, who are considering a research career but would like to explore different options.
Participating in the challenge will give students hands-on experience of the latest high-quality research being carried out in computer science, European projects and industry. They will contribute towards reproducibility, helping to shape the future of computer architecture research. In addition, they will be able to spend a full day at the HiPEAC conference, a research and development environment where they can share their work, ask questions and network with some of the top computing systems researchers in the world. To take part in the challenge, students must: *Form a team* This should include a mentor a mentor (a professor or local senior researcher who can provide guidance and guarantee the required standard), plus fellow students of any level. *Register the team* Teams should email the organizers (see emails below) indicating their full name, university, level of studies (undergraduate, master's or PhD) and mentor. Deadline: 15 September 2023 *Reproduce a scientific paper* Participants should select a paper (with code) accepted for the HiPEAC conference, either the 2024 edition or previous years – the organizers can help them select a suitable paper. They should then work to build/run and reproduce the results of the paper, either using local computing resources or remote resources if needed. Optional: Participants can improve upon or optimize the proposed solution in the paper. *Write and submit a report* Teams will need to produce a report about the work done (in the form of a scientific-style paper). Based on these reports, the four best performing teams will be selected to present their work. *Present the work done* Teams should prepare a presentation of your work and present it at the Reproducibility Student Challenge on Thursday, 18 January 2024 at the HiPEAC conference.
