===== CALL FOR PAPERS ====
3rd International Workshop on Self-Learning in Intelligent Environments (SeLIE’23) Uniciti, Mauritius, 27 – 28 June 2023 (https:// Selie23.na.icar.cnr.it) Part of the 19th International Conference on Intelligent Environments (IE2023) Uniciti, Mauritius, 27 – 30 June 2023 (https://ie2023.mdxmru.com/) *Overview Self-learning systems are artificial agents able to acquire and renew knowledge over time without hard coding. These are adaptive systems whose functions improve by a learning process based -typically- on the method of trial and error. A self-learning system initially interacts with its users or surrounding environment by attempting and observing the changes produced by its actions. This workshop will focus on the design, implementation, and exploitation of self-learning features within an Intelligent Environment or some of its components. The workshop will represent an opportunity for academia and industry to debate the state-of-the-art challenges and open issues. *Topics Areas of interest and application fields include, but are not limited to, the following ones: • Reinforcement Learning and Inverse Reinforcement Learning • Imitation Learning • Learning-by-Demonstration • Safe Self-Learning • Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning • Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning • Environment modeling • Partially observable environments • Reward engineering • Exploitation VS Exploration trade-off • Hyperparameters optimization • Applications and case studies * Application fields: • Automotive • Robotics • Healthcare • Finance • Gaming • Business management • Resource management * Important Dates: - Submission Deadline: 28th March 2023 - Notification to Authors: 5th April 2023 - Camera Ready Deadline: 15th April 2023 - Workshop dates: 27 – 28 June 2023 * Paper Publication Papers accepted in workshops will be published as a volume of the IOS Press Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments book Series of IOS Press as well as electronically through ACM Digital Library. The proceedings will be ISI indexed. * General Chairs Antonio Coronato, Università Giustino Fortunato – Benevento Italy Patrizia Ribino, Institute for high-performance computing and networking (ICAR-CNR) *Program Chairs Muddasar Naeem, Università Giustino Fortunato – Benevento Italy Massimo Esposito, Institute for high-performance computing and networking (ICAR-CNR) |
